Information Products - Turn the Spoken Word Into the Written Word

From my own experience, here are two scenarios for you. Which one do you think can create information products faster and easier? Which one can create more information products? Which one is spending their time more efficiently and making more money?
At one time in my distant past, I was a legal secretary. I worked for two attorneys in a small, one secretary office in the San Fernando Valley in California.
One of the attorneys had to have me in his office so he could dictate his correspondence and legal documents, which I then transcribed from my shorthand.
Requiring me to be in his office, while he dictated was both painful and time consuming. Painful because there would often be long pauses in his dictation, or I would be jumping up to answer the phone. Time consuming because it was much slower and taking me away from other things that I could be doing; each time he called me in to work with him, it interrupted my concentration and thought flow.
The other attorney would sit, by himself, in his office, dictating his correspondence or legal documents, hand a tape or tapes to me and I could then schedule my time so that I could transcribe it.
I relate this story to illustrate that it is much more efficient and less time consuming for you to create information products by using one of the many efficient ways to record.
Picture this. You are sitting at home, typing away on your computer, creating an information product. You type a little, go back and edit, type a little, go back and edit, until the product is finally finished. Since you type at a rate much slower than you can talk, this would be time consuming for you.
While across the street, your neighbor is creating their information product by recording it. Within an hour, they have created about 20 pages. They then send it off to their favorite transcription service, who will send back a hard copy that can be edited. Editing copy that is already written is much easier (and faster) than to create and edit at the same time.
Which one do you think would create more information products?
Oh, by the way, while their first hour of dictation is at their favorite transcription service, your neighbor continues to create products.
While you are still sitting at your computer, sweating over getting those first 20 pages completed.
Do you want to learn more about how to do it.
